Scott Smalley
President
Scott Smalley is Faculty Member and Lecturer for the Bachelor of Clinical Medical Practice Degree programme under the Division of Clinical Associates and Department of Family Medicine and Primary Care in the Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa since 2010. He was the prior Head of Division of Clinical Associates from 2016 to 2022. He has been instrumental in the development and curriculum design on a national level for South Africa’s newest health professional titled, Clinical Associate.
Scott has provided medical care and educational training as a Certified Physician Assistant in the US, as a Clinical Officer in Kenya, Uganda and Zambia and currently as a Registered Clinical Associate in South Africa. He completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Health Science Education in 2019 and a Masters in Science in Physician Assistant Studies in 2007. He is passionate about promoting the future development and training for all Physician Associate education programs through partnerships, collaboration, and global communication.
