The Professor Phil Begg IAPAE Conference Scholarship
IAPAE is pleased to announce the Professor Phil Begg IAPAE Conference Scholarship with the amount of $250.00 to be awarded to a deserving delegate attending the upcoming IAPAE Conference. The Scholarship is intended to support the IAPAE Conference registration fee and one night accommodation for a delegate to attend the 17th Annual IAPAE Conference from 13-15 November, 2026 at the Tooting Campus of City St George’s University of London.

Professor Phil Begg is an academic, clinician, and international leader and long-term supporter and educator of the Physician Associate profession. Professor Begg is one of four founding Trustees of the International Academy of Physician Associate Educators, started in 2007. This Scholarship recognizes the commitment and pursuit of PA and PA analogue educational excellence for a deserving conference delegate.
Applicants will be required to complete an application form, upload a detailed conference budget and a Motivation Statement which clearly articulates a financial need and demonstrates current and future impact to the education, professional practice and scientific assembly of physician associates and PA analogues locally and globally.
To be awarded the Professor Phil Begg IAPAE Conference Scholarship an applicant must have submitted an abstract and has been accepted to present as the lead author for an Oral Presentation, Palaver Presentation or a PechaKucha Presentation at the upcoming IAPAE conference. The applicant must be a member of IAPAE in good standing with a demonstrated financial need to receive the award of $250.00 which will be applied by IAPAE towards the conference registration fee and accommodation cost at the conference venue.
The successful Scholarship candidate will be required to submit a Conference Report following the conference which can be posted to the IAPAE Website under the News section to describe their experience.
Key criteria to include in your application:
- Abstract submission acceptance as the presenting author for an Oral Presentation, Palaver Presentation or a PechaKucha Presentation
- Plan to attend the IAPAE Conference
- Member of IAPAE in good standing
- Budget proposal that articulates need
- Motivation Statement demonstrating commitment to the pursuit of PA and PA analogue local and global education excellence
Application deadline is July 25, 2026
Award recipient will be notified by July 30, 2026
Current or past IAPAE Board members, Committee Chairs or family members are not eligible to receive the Scholarship. The award is made on merit and demonstrated need.
