Mirela Bruza

Research Committee Chair

Mirela Bruza, PhD, PA-C, is a research scientist at the National Commission on Certification of PAs (NCCPA) and an assistant professor/adjunct faculty at Seton Hall University PA Program in the United States. She obtained her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Pace University – Lenox Hill Hospital in New York, and completed her Doctoral Degree in Education Leadership, Management, and Policy from Seton Hall University in New Jersey.

Mirela has practiced clinically as a PA in the fields of family medicine and endocrinology. She is also a board member/CME chair for PAs for Global Health (PAGH), a contributor to Smiles for Life (oral health global module), and serves as a peer reviewer for various national and international journals and conferences. Her research and expertise span across PA education, PA admissions, healthcare workforce, under-resourced populations, and global health initiatives.

Mirela is committed to promoting international research partnerships and supporting the development of impactful research aligned with IAPAE’s mission to ensure that our collective efforts reflect the evolving needs of our profession and contribute meaningfully to global health education.
