The Six Branches of IAPAE
The Six Branches of IAPAE align with the mission, vision and aims of the organisation following the 2026-2030 Strategic Plan
IAPAE strives to represent Physician Associate and PA Analogue educators and academic programmes globally, to develop and maintain a repository of knowledge and experience relating to international Physician Associate education, and to undertake, commission and disseminate research and other scholarly activity concerning international Physician Associate education. IAPAE also aims to achieve and maintain a heightened awareness of Physician Associate education amongst national governments and international organisations. We promote the unification of all PA and PA Analogues through the promotion of a universal global title and international accreditation standards.

Branch 1: Organisational Structure and Financial Stability
IAPAE actively engages in structural process with transparency for a well-run and financially productive non-profit global organisation following the mission to bring together
global physician associate and PA Analogue health science educators to develop and share best educational practices.
Branch 2: Advocacy, Representation and Faculty
IAPAE is the leading international organisation to advocate for and represent existing and developing PA and PA Analogue Educational Programs and PA Faculty globally.
Branch 3: Education and Accreditation
IAPAE supports the advancement of global PA and PA Analogue education for all global PA and PA Analogue Educators and Students.
Branch 4: Research, Scholarly Activity and Repository of Knowledge
IAPAE commissions, undertakes and shares global PA and PA Analogue Educational Research. IAPAE promotes global scholarly research and publications for recognition of PA and PA Analogue impacts. IAPAE maintains a comprehensive Repository of Knowledge with Scientific Papers, Toolboxes, and Past Conference Proceedings in the IAPAE Members Section of the website, accessible by all IAPAE members.
Branch 5: Communication, Collaboration and Innovation
Champions global communication and collaboration to advance Physician Associate education, promote international networking, and foster innovation in teaching and interactive learning. It drives policy change, elevates recognition of the profession—currently practiced in 68 countries under 35 distinct titles—and supports initiatives that strengthen the role and visibility of PA and PA Analogues worldwide.
Repository and Toolbox Activities
We develop and maintain a dynamic repository of PA and PA Analogue learning pedagogies with the general public and IAPAE members.
Branch 6: IAPAE Annual Conference
Our annual conference brings together professionals, educators, students, institutions and organizations from across the world.
